Double 16/0 Circle Hook Rig with 5' 600lb Cable
This double hook shark rig uses 16/0 circle hooks. It has 5 feet of 600 pound test stainless camo-brown cable and a weighted swivel. The 5 feet of cable is the perfect length when using wind-on leaders and won't kink like single strand wire.
Remember, like other circle hook rigs, you shouldn't try to set the hook in the normal fashion. After a run-off, just put the real in the "strike" position and start to reel. In most cases, if you try to set the hook as you would with a "J" hook, you will end up pulling the entire rig out of the sharks mouth. |
